By placing an order through this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Nature of Handmade Artwork
While I strive to capture an accurate representation of your home, each house portrait is painted in my own artistic style and is not meant to be a photorealistic reproduction.
All portraits are one-of-a-kind and may contain slight variations that contribute to the uniqueness of each piece, as expected with handmade artwork.
Colors may vary slightly to what is seen on your screen due to monitor and device settings.
Reference Photos
The quality of each house portrait depends heavily on the quality of the reference photos.
Clients are responsible for providing clear, high-quality reference photos (as described in the Commission Guide) that accurately depict the home or building. If the reference photo does not meet these requirements, additional images may be requested before work begins.
It is the client's responsibility to ensure they have permission to use submitted reference photos.
Alterations & Additions
Commissions are painted based on the provided reference photo(s).
Custom alterations not depicted in the original reference photo(s) (as described in the Commission Guide) will incur an additional fee and must be approved before work begins.
Not all requested alterations can be accommodated.
Composition Sketch Approval
For Signature House Portrait commissions only, the client will receive a digital composition sketch for approval via email.
Minor revisions are included if they fall within the guidelines of the original commission. Requests for significant changes, alterations, or new additions may be declined or incur an additional fee.
Once the composition sketch is approved, the artwork will be considered final.
Production Timeline
Estimated turnaround times are provided as a guideline and are not guaranteed.
Delays in client communication (taking extended time to submit requested reference photos, respond to emails, approve sketches, or provide requested information) will extend the production timeline accordingly. The estimated turnaround time resumes once the requested information or approval has been received.
If a response is not received from the client for 30 days after requesting information or sketch approval, I reserve the right to reschedule the commission to the next available production queue.
Production may be affected by order volume, holidays, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. If significant delays occur, I will communicate them via email in a timely manner.
Shipping
Orders will be shipped to the address provided by the client during checkout. I am not responsible for lost packages, delays, or additional fees due to an incorrect address provided by the client.
Once the package is handed to the shipping carrier, delivery is outside of my control.
If your house portrait arrives damaged, contact me ASAP and include photos of the artwork and package. Each situation will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine a resolution.
Returns & Cancellations
Due to the custom nature of commissioned artwork, all sales are final.
Orders may be canceled before work has begun. If work has started and a cancellation is requested, approval may result in a partial refund to reflect the time and materials already invested.
Returns, exchanges, or refunds are not available for completed commissions.
Portfolio & Marketing
Unless otherwise requested in writing before work begins, I reserve the right to photograph and share completed artwork for portfolio, website, social media, and promotional purposes.
If the commission is intended as a surprise gift, please let me know so I can delay sharing it publicly until after it has been received.
Personal information, such as client names or addresses, will never be shared.
Copyright & Intellectual Property
I (the artist) retain all copyrights to the artwork.
Purchasing the original artwork does not transfer copyright ownership.
The artwork may not be reproduced, copied, scanned, sold, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
